error on portpholio pages

  • Hi,
    On portfolio pages, like this:
    http://www.vilonot-tal.co.il/portfolio/%D7%98%D7%A4%D7%98%D7%99%D7%9D-%D7%A8%D7%95%D7%9E%D7%A0%D7%98%D7%99%D7%99%D7%9D/

i have a bulk gallery on them,
i get the loader icon working endlessly on top of the page.
also when clicking on one of the images from the gallery it sends me to the image page and not to the built in Lightbox. the images show in 2 columns and not 3 like they should

only if i reload the page then it all works fine..ish.
    then it gets:
    – the page loads faster and the loader icon stops
    – the images show 3 columns
    – clicking on image opens the Lightbox
…like it should on first load.

one more thing…the plugin visual composer is long over due for an update.
are you planing on pushing out an update soon.

    Thanks !!

    Hello there,

Thank you for getting in touch.

I’m afraid I can’t replicate the issue on my end. It seems they work fine. Could you please see the enclosed GIF?

What browsers are you experiencing the issue at?

Let me ask our developer about this. I’ll update you once I get info from him.

    hi,
    Thanks for your reply!

i see it on all my browsers (chrome, safari)

like i said, on first load of the page i get the errors…but if i reload or refresh the page it works fine.
i have attached a screencast showing this.

any way, i went on looking for a fix. i found in : theme options > portfoilo there is Ajax for portfolio pages. so i disabled this. and then all works fine!!!

by disabling this does it have any implications ?

    thanks

    Hello there,

like i said, on first load of the page i get the errors…but if i reload or refresh the page it works fine.

It was fine on the very first load when I was inspecting your URL. I tried to replicate the same page on my own testing site. I couldn’t replicate the issue.

by disabling this does it have any implications?

Yes, it does. Head on here. The AJAX effect of portfolio group archive page is handled from that option.

If you wish to have similar page, try to turn on the “Ajax for portfolio pages” option. Then clear your browser’s cache before you visit this page.

    Kharis

so i dont know what to do?!
i see this error like on the video i sent you before.
the only fix i have that works is disabling the AJAX effect of portfolio.

hope you can find a fix for me.

if you can look in to my admin then i can duplicate the site to a staging site for you to look.

    let me know.

    Hello there,

I’d like to update the toranj/assets/js/custom.js file. But I don’t have an access to your FTP account. Could you please try do it yourself?

    1. Open the toranj/assets/js/custom.js file
    2. Update its content into this one
    3. Save then upload it through FTP or cPanel

Let me know how it goes. I’ll wait to hear back from you regarding your stats.

    Regards,
    Kharis

    Thanks for the help.
i have changed the content of the file (on the staging site)
    it has partially fixed:
    1. the images in the gallery open to the light box – that works.
    2. the images show in 2 columns and not 3 like they should – not fixed
    3. the loading icon still keeps showing – not fixed.
